Economics in the New Zealand Curriculum

Our Economics resources are aimed at helping teachers to offer the variety of learning experiences that so many of our learners need today. So often we find tactile and kinaesthetic learners in our classrooms: these are the students who can't sit still, who need the opportunity to interact in a very physical way with the material that they are trying to understand.

At Accelerated Learning Resources we aim to provide you with the resources that you need, but that all too often you don't have the time to write for yourself. For your Year 12 Economics course, try our Year 12 Economics pack.

For Year 11, our package of flip cards and task cards have been especially written to match the Achievement Standards structure of the course. The pack contains resources to support learning for Achievement Standards 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.5.

Finally for Year 13 Economics, here are two FREE resources.

The first uses students' kinaesthetic learning style to help remember the relationship between Total Revenue and Price when learning about Price Elasticity of Demand. Click here to go to this FREE resource.

The second is a cloze exercise taken from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand web site, converting their Information Sheet on the Official Cash Rate into a practice cloze exercise (thanks to the RBNZ for their great educational resources, take a look at their web site at www.rbnz.govt.nz if you haven't already).
